 Post subject: 1.0L + gti brakes ???

can i fit Gti calipers to my stock cultus 1.0L ?<br>will i need Gti rotors also?<br>i presume lowering springs for Gti will also fit. will they??<br>also are the Gti `s rear brakes drum or disc type ? if they are disc type can i convert mine to discs on the rear? <br>jd. <p></p><i></i>

I am not 100% sure about this. I once converted a 3cyl. sprint to a GTi. The change to the GTi front and rear rotors was possible on this car but required all of the brake hardware from the GTi. We changed the master cylinder but I think that the Sprint one would have worked. it needs discs, wheel bearing hub, calipers, etc. <br><br>On the bright side you can pop the whole unit off from a GTi fairly easily. The two back bolts on the back of the strut, sway bar bolt, and the one that holds the brake assembly to the control arm.
