I want opionions on running just strut. No spring on a 3banger hatch. Car doesn't weigh much, has brand new kybs all the way around and just bought some new monroes. I want to lower my car fast for a show and wanted to just take my springs out.

Pros and cons?

Tommy is the suspension expert. I'm sure he'll comment.

I have kyb gr2 gas struts on it now. I have brand new yellow monroes to go on the car on sunday. Just wanna know if running just strut without spring will do any damage. I'm only driving 40 miles without em.

Can it be done?

No offense, but the fact you asked this question tells me you shouldnt be working on cars. Learn more before you do anything to your car.

That or you are trolling. Please gawd be trolling.....

All I asked was for opinions on how it would ride and be safe. So I figured I'd try it. Found out it was a bad idea and fixed it lol I more than capable working on cars.

How am I supposed to learn things without asking questions and/or doing things? I learned that running just strut looks badass! But I'll never do it again haha
