Just bought myself a 94 metro. And on the way from buying it found out that there is an issue the seller didn't mention. I.E. the pedal goes to the floor sometimes.

So here's the skinny. On start up brakes are solid. Do a little driving and they are fine. Then out of no where pedal to the floor. Still stops but it's kind of scary. Seems to happen after turning as well.

Wondering if it's a vacuum leak? I checked all the lines to all 4 wheels and didn't see any leaks anywhere. unless it's leaking somewhere around the chassis. But still can't see a leak. Maybe air in the line? Need to get it inspected soon so any help is welcome.

Thanks!

it sounds like typical master cylinder failure. the master cylinder has 2 chambers and one of them has bad piston seals.

Sweet thanks for the info. Was worried it may be a master cylinder. But that ain't too bad. Just going to have to add that to the list of stuff to fix on this abused lil car.
