If you go to 15 inch rims, get the 7" wide rims. There are much better tire choices then the 6" wide rims.
I went with Toyo 195/50-15" tires on 15" x 7" and I couldn't be happier.

Good, fast, cheap. You only get two.

Did you go up a stud size? Or are you rolling around on the 10x1.25s? I would suggest doing an upgrade to 12x1.25 or 12x longer. The studs are too skinny.

You should actually try and get 195/45-15's

They'll clear even more

and uniroyal rainsport3.. cheaper but they was on marks at about 2k km.. another 1k km and they were slicks..

Contenintal used to make that size. Not sure if they do any more though.. I think it was the Sport Contact Patch

195/45/15 is very hard to find anymore. I have them on my Mk1 GTi . Some brand from S. Korea - Nexen N3000 . They are hard as a rock and will probably last 100K but it was all I could find at the time without getting second mortgage

I really need 195/40/15 but I don't think that size has been on the market for at least a decade if ever in US

Everyone wants 20s on their Sonic or Soul so why even stock smaller sizes :(

i don't like nexen..

on internet site of tyre dealer in my country there are available
goodyear eagle f1 (overpriced)
yokohama s-drive (overpriced)
michelin pilot exalto pe2 (overpriced)
pirelli p7 (overpriced)
continental sportcontact2 (overpriced)
toyo proxes t1-r
vredestein sportrac 5
uniroyal rainsport 3
and bunch of budget tyres that i would kill myself with them in first corner..

so it's toyo or vredestein this year, if they'll have en in stock..

i don't think anyone still make 185/40/15 tyres.. except custom maybe

kinda funny "picture" but that's my swift with 15 rims and 195/45 eagle f1 tyres :D almost 2y ago
