Hi All,
I'm looking to add power steering to my MK2 convertible, and I've located a '94 Swift with power steering (not local to me). Now, I'm looking for documentation from the factory service manual; the '89 GTi manual I found doesn't address power steering.
Also, is there a fit issue? I've read that if the power steering components came from a sedan (ie, a Canadian 4-door), then it's not a bolt-on situation, at least for the rack.

thx,

brad

P.S. Kindly refrain from "you don't need it" comments, etc :yeahyeah

I have a 1992 Cultus RHD convertible with 1.3 SOHC 16V and power steering. Other than the RHD orientation, the rack to chassis mounting points look identical to my Geo Metro with manual steering.

I believe the Canadian market sold an up-level LHD MK2 variant called the Swift GS hatch, which had a 1.3 SOHC and power steering option.

There is a link to Suzuki OEM parts at http://suzukicarparts.com/parts/1992/Suzuki/Swift/GT?siteid=214820&vehicleid=9189&section=STEERING&group=&subgroup=&component=&searchText=&startRow=11&maxRow=10
