Not sure about gaining 5Hp but if you want something that will give some gains I would go with Nology wires. They aren't cheap, about $400 CND, but they do come in red

I use Nology hotwires on my swift, red ones in fact. Very nice, noticeable torque increase. I put Aurora wires on a few cars I've had, they work well also, but the Nology wires have built in capacitors which actually increase the spark energy. Instead of most wires which advertise how much spark energy they transmit from the coil, these actually increase it. I've noticed noise in my stereo system from these though, and I can't seem to get rid of it. Relatively minor thing..

One other thing. Hey Murr, where do you live, I have a feeling that you live close to me somewhere. I'm in Mission BC. I am awaiting an ICBC settlement to do some sick things to my mildly modified GTi. Maybe you can give me some advice/help me get hooked up with some parts? I either want to do a NA or turbo motor, depending on how much cash I get. I'll just buy a junkyard motor and swap it in when I'm finished building it. I'll also want to get an improved tranny built, plus mags and suspension work. I'll let you know when I get the dough. What's your email address? Thanks.

-Jason.

The wires you got are fine if you do not mind the money. Just remember you cannot run a MSD, Mallory, Holley, and Jacobs ignition box. Also if the capacitors go out the wire is useless. Also as the get older the wire itself gets to have more resistance and will not be good anymore. I have run them before. Yea there is a small gain. But I think you would be better getting an igition box. You do not need to keep replacing them. Also you can use the normal performance wires. They are alot cheaper to replace when they wear out. There is another product out that is a capacitor add on. It is call Direct Hit. They are a little cheaper than Nology and you can use normal wires with them. There are other advantages to running Boxes also. I would look around a little more before replacing them again.

i am running the aurura's as well, I was extremely impressed by the quality of the fit. (not too long like the cheapo's) just the right lengths that you can sperate them nicely all the way to the cap. I noticed a bit a difference with them, but my old wires were pretty done and just installed a new suzi coil.
www.geocites.com/rallysuzuki
