I just got new exhaust put on today on my 1.0 geo sounds owesome!! i had the cat removed left the stock resonator and had a imco universal oem muffler out back. goal was improved hp and not to much sound.. worked great. car has more torque and more noticable horsepower than before, sounds like a bike gas and gas mileage has improved..

Mine sounds mean too. I've got 2.25 inch pipes all the way back. I also have a 2.25 cat and it barely made a difference in the sound if anything at all. I've got a 87 turbo.

hey there almtr31.0, what the spec of your new exhaust? I'm thinking to buy a new exhaust too but still in the research for the best setup.

I can't buy Magnaflow cause it's not sold here in asia. The only brand we have are Rambo and Remus. So picture of it would be nice too. :)

Have a nice day :)

hey darrell,

turbo cars have an advantage over the n/a g10 in that the turbine wheel "chops" the pressure pulse and softens it up. a n/a g10 is a roaring little sob when you start deleting exhaust components. the drone in the cabin can be tremendous in a hatchback if the exhaust is poorly conceived.

on a n/a g10, i've always been pretty happy with a straight 2" pipe from the manifold to the rear of the car terminated with an oem replacement short oval muffler. i usually hang an inexpensive tip on the muffler to make sure the exhaust ends outside of the rear bumper.

Sounds good. I just use what came with the car, but I added a cat.
