Not many 11" oval body exhausts kicking around.

Unless I want some horrible can on the back my choices are:

A) 11" Oval body with 2" in and a 2 1/4" outlet

B) 2" in/out 14" round body

Before this is a 2" in/out oval cat(I want the round body metal substrate but even the sales guy said it would be a waste), and a 14" long 2" in/out 4" body resonator.

Magnaflow 2.25 inlet 14" shell have one fitted on my Turbo car and on my 89 GTI Red car.

The trick is how to hang it using a stainless steel oval clmp with hanger rods welded on each side to hang in the original hanger points.

I thought I would never get a nice muffler fitted, but the custom installer had no problem.
You have more room than you think.

Hmmm...

I noticed that the bumpers don't hang down as low on the earlier cars, mine is a mk5, not sure if I can get anything else up there...

I'll take it in to a muffler shop and get a free estimate... don't want a muff I can't buy.
