i tried searching for some info, but didn't get what i expected..

the crank in this '94 metro i'm rebuilding is sorta in bad shape... i have a crank and set of rods out of a '92 g10 turbo that are in great shape.
will the crank & rods perform well in an n/a g10 block? -with standard turbo pistons?
do they use the same size main bearings?
i kinda like the idea of a floating wrist pin, but are the pistons of the same compression ratio?
what do you guys figure?

the crank is the same, it's been discussed many many times.

the pistons have a lower CR.

and the rods are different... REQUIRING you to find different pistons
n/a is a 17m pressed pin whereas the turbo has 19mm floating, it is stronger, but the 17mm lighter rods perform well. the rods are a different weight so to avoid any minor balance issues, keep the rods with the crank if you have both.

you will not find factory turbo pistons anywhere anymore, I had a used set I sold for 100 something. the turbo pistons also have some factory coating on them, and are discontinued.

I made 110whp with more to go on the n/a stuff, so im not sure what you are after, but hope this helps
