I'm looking for a chip that will just eliminated the rev limiter or raise it to 9000. I have an msd 6al-2 that allows me to adjust the limiter

if you raise the limiter to 9rpms won't it be dangerous? :o or can the engine take 9 rpms? if so i'm also getting a chip :)

Stock engine will take 9k. Probably not a heck of a lot of benefit without matching cams, but it'll do it.

I'm not going to rev to 9000, i have an MSD with adjustable rev limiter,I can set it to 8000 if I wanted But the swift ecu cuts out at 7500. I just need a few hundred rpm's so I can run the 1/8 mile with out the rev kicking in.

I rev mine daily. It's bouncing off at 8600. LOVE the sound and feeling when doing it. It's been a few years already doing this. I say it can take 9000 without a problem. I do have 3tech's cams (210/340) and sandros chip.

I have one of the rare switch chips that goes from stock mode (standard everything) to high performance mode (with no limiter) at the push of a button.

sandros chip is a nice preformance improvement, from what i've heard even without the cams
itll bump your rev limiter to 8600
you can also get toms chip which is a nice improvement as well, but i dont think as nice as sandros, it also cuts out at 8600

pm sandro see if hes got any available still his title is swifty92

i got same things as instant_shine does, the cams and sandros chip, i hit the limiter at 8600 daily,
had the car for almost 3 years, almost 250k on the engine, and its as strong as ever

I got the toms 2 chip, it was like fifty bucks. Makes a noticeable difference after 4000rpm, and takes the rev limiter right off. I get about 50 km less to a tank now though.
