Does anyone know or can point me to where I can get alloy roller rockers for the SOCH 8v cylinder heads? Ive come across a fella who has a highly modified 8v g16a head but missing rocker gear which supposedly was custom billet roller rockers.

Can I get these from another car maker or is my only avenue billet?

North American 95-97 1.3 8V has them. Don't know if yours did or not. Rocker ratio is crazy high. They have hydraulic lifters in them, but that can easily be swapped out for adjusting screws

Keep in mind that a '97 roller froze up on me.

It didn't do the cam lobe any favors, either:

A wrecking a yard counter person said they can, and do, freeze up. Don't know of a sure-fire preventative for that...

great thanks guys thats good news and crazy high ratios sound sweet! any chance they are over 1.6? Id love to get a set to fit to our 1988-1991 1.6 heads as we missed out on later 8v heads Im sure? so far the late 4 door swifts with 8v heads Ive seen dont seem to have them. Im looking at porting one with big valves and running 38mm bike carbs on a 1.6L bottom end with good rods and 1mm overbore.

Any chance anyone can help?

Thanks for the pics Gwhiz some nice close up shots. Im surprised that happened the oil looks pretty clean! Maybe oil wasnt getting into the bearing somehow and seizing up?

After reading that small quad bike carbs awaken a g13b to almost 80hp or double the factory hp at the wheels Im aiming for around 100 at the wheels with bigger valves, cam and 300cc extra along with good exhaust etc.

Rocker ratio is 2-1. I might have a set around here. I think I did a conversion the other way for somebody.

Here are the threads related to the pics:

Post a thread on your project! I'd also love to know what differences you see in performance and MPGs afyer you're done. :)

I sure will, first getting some parts as Ive been toying with the suzuki M18a engine for a datsun and recently finished installing a g16b into a carry van with bigger exhaust, match ported in and out etc.
However would like to simplify things for the datsun and use the g13b bottom end with g16a top end ported and if possible roller rockers and a turbo setup.
