Look pictures 9 and 16, clearly using self taping screws to secure the bracket to the light housing.

Look forward to seeing some more pic with people doing this conversion.

black screws are oem, silver ones are the self tappers.

Hey, well the OEM (orginal equipment manufacturer) screws are self tapers( or is self tapers some weird term used for something else in the states?).

I don't meen to start a debate or anything, but i reckon if he drilled right through the housing, and used bolts, shakeproof washers, and nuts, it would be alot more secure, he has on some part of the assemble, but not all/

i started this conversion today on my metro, the headlight bracket is different on metros, so u end up cuttin out more, i used my AC mount to attach the bracket for the mount on the curved side, and use existing holes forthe bracket on the straight side. I have one side fitted up, just need to adjust the brackets and then duplicate it for the other side. will let you guys know how it goes and i will take pics when setting up the remaining side. btw with metros you have to cut out the bonnet a lil.

i wouldnt use the honda lights. it is more dificult to get them steady. and as you see he has eyebrows on it because without the brows there will be a HUGE gap between the lights and the hood. i know because i have a set of honda glass headlights and i tried. i would go with the corolla

ok nearly finished my conversion, the corolla lights fit well in the metro, it was alot of work, but it fits, i not sure if i gonna need eyebrows, i kno i have to go to the body shop to get the corner light to fit properly, the previous owner hit the car in the front, and fixed it but didnt put back in any corner lights, so the body work on the fenders is all wrong. i soon fix it though.

OK! guys Ive just won a bid on ebay for a set of the Honda projector/halo stylee lights. I hope they can be fitted without massive modifications. The person who has the blue swift further up, did you get them on without too much of a headache? Anyway when they are on I'll post some pics and stuff. Or if I cant, you will see them on ebay for sale. lol! 8)

I'm not the owner, but I do know the owner. The mounting of the light enclosure itself is straight forward by following the instructions in this thread. BUT the headlight you bought are HID, which the swift electrical supply can't work with, you'll also need a HID kit toi work with the headlights.

I am know the proud owner of the Sonar halo/projector lights. They are not HID. (How do I know??? Well, it says on the back of the lights DO NOT use HID bulbs). Will keep you all updated on the progress of project 'fitting lights that are not meant for my car'. As for the clear corners. They come as One piece, not Two!! (As you can see in the pic).

Any thoughts or ideas would be gratefully welcomed. Cheers!!!!

Yeah, they from a Civic. BTW nice Swift!!!!! I need to do something like that. The wings/fenders need to be cut to shape to accomodate the new lights. If I would have known all this hassle, I would have just bought the JDM Corolla lights. Anyway. Ive got the Civic lights now so I'm gonna do them properly. My bonnet needs to be cut to make the lights fit properly. Havent got around to doing anything yet. Time and money!!!! will show some pics as soon as I've done it.

Karma for posting those pics m8!

We're talking about this type of corolla, right? The "E10"... They were sold from '92 to '97, here in the Netherlands
