Hey guys,

my '89 SSGTi never came with the Overhead Dome Light/Clock combo; it only has a typical Dome Light.

I was wondering if anyone elses car didn't have the Clock combo and they went ahead and did the "conversion" so to speak...
Did you have to run new wires, or was everything there already?

Thanks in advance guys,
Tommy

i've only got the normal one myself, but ray/ssgt92 says the clock version just plugs right in =) it's up there on my list of things to do ..
his advice has been flawless w/ pulling apart my interior to upgrade the stereo =) which turns out to be super simple on these cars, but i need to find a dozen replacement clips or so now

I think Gticouple has an extra clock or so, if you want to get in touch with them, let me know.
-Kyle Jones
Junk-Yard Turbo set-up, formerly NOS-fed, constantly evolving 1989 Suzuki Swift GTi

You need the harness with it. Once you have that and the clock. It is plug and play for 89 to 94.

I have a standard swift no clock of course got one, thought plug n play = yes/no.
The wiring in the swift is there but the plug is located at the bottom of the a pillar on the passenger side, so of course had to run wiring up the a pillar to the clock mount
Another thing i encountered with it which is deceiving if u dont have the wiring harness, is that one of the clocks wires must be grounded near the dome light the other 4? run down the a pillar into the stock wiring
good luck!

I doubt my '94 Metro has the harness in the lower pillar, so I will be scouting wiring info to make my own.

the harness is by the radio, you can fish a peice of wire through the pillar on the right side without taking apart the headliner

Gonna dig this up. What kind of light bulb does it take for the clock?
Btw there is a plug on the pass side kick panel for the clock on the mkII's for the peeps that don't know, you just need the harness.

Are you sure it is just the lightbulb that is bad? Can you see the numbers if you illuminate it yourself?
