It has been done. look for thread "noisey cricket" i think in vert section. the cage kit for a pinto, vega or civic might be close enought to work just have to measure.

Fabricating or installing a universal harness bar is also on my list.

Checked out the vert thread you suggested and there isn't a good picture of how the bar is mounted to the B pillar. Anyone out there with a harness bar/race seat set up in a Mk2/3 that would be willing to post a good picture of how you have mounted the bar to the B pillars? I am just looking for ideas.

I got a midwing recently and finally got it installed the other day and talked to a shop about a custom harness bar. they said it would run around 400 for the bar with installation. Anyone have a link for sway bars?

Well, that was not the information I was looking for and sway bars are way off topic in interior/exterior upgrades, but there is a ton of information in the handling/suspension section and it's relatively easy to find new or used parts, see this sticky: http://www.teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=42075.

Some quick tips: If you decide to get aftermarket bars, you'll need the end links too and most bars don't come with them--another reason to get them from the junkyard. You'll also need to drill the mounts in the spare tire area of your hatch. I got my larger Addco rear bar (part# 484) from

http://www.neverenoughauto.com/p-6568-addco-rear-anti-sway-bar-484.aspx

They also carry a front bar (581, don't know why you'd want it) and another rear bar (651, can't tell what the difference is, info might be in sticky).
