Probably been done a thousand times (if not, more) but i grew tired of the back lighting on my cluster. so i swapped it to Red.

(was going to upload a photo here of it; appears i dont have one.)

that said, the buttons for the Rear window, Demister and Foglight's were still the stock Green ones. so a little bit of trial and error on a baleno switch i had, ended up with this.

work's well, blends in alot better with the rest of my cluster. but still had the Fog switch and Rear wiper to do. so a little bit of time later. (and some swearing and cursing because LED's only work if you put them in one way. Grr.) Got the whole dash lit.

Will be doing the light for my AC and Gear selector (auto. :( ) Tomorrow. Then I'll have a full Red-Lit interior. :)

Looks great. Did you use regular or flat tops?

just standard T5 (resisted) LED's. they are a little bit too big for the button's, i'll be trying out some SMD LED's later on down the track and try to locate some Replacement styled LED's to get a bit of a cleaner look.

there is also a T1 3/4, its 3mm or 1/8 inch. digikey.com has a good selection.
red is very dim compared to other colors (human eye problems)

how many milliamps are you using for each one? 12v or something else?

if you do go SMD, i would recommd 0805 or bigger. 0805 are a pain to do, but fdan be done. 1206 are much eaiser and a whole lot brighter.

white 0805 of ebay are pretty good. super bright (get the ones that have 'SUPER' in the title.)
