hello all
im new to this forum, i have a question?
i have a 1998 chevy metro.
i want to redye or paint the dash.
i cant find a color that will match, my car for some reason has gray 2 tone cloth seats, which is kind normal. but the door panels are not gray, they are sorta like a really dark brownish gray?
i want the dash to match, but painting it gray doesnt match at all.
has anyone overcome this color problem yet, without redying the whole interior?
i wont do that, but i will remove the dash, but i want the right color first.
seems to me a color from SEM's called accent oak or dark oak, both might match very well, the thing is its been discontinued.
also checked colorbond, but they dont sell it anywhere near southern ohio and i would like to see it in person or take the cap out and compare it to the car.
anyone have any suggestions here or am i all on my own.
this could be what i have made up called a YOYO job.
please let me know
thank you in advance.

Have you tried any companies that do cosmetic repairs on vehicles. Check with local dealerships to see if they have guys who do vinyl/leather repairs, cigarette burn repairs etc on their used vehicles. They should be able to make up a matching dye for your dash. I have this type of business but am a long way away from you. Good luck in your search.

In the market lot of companies are working on interior and doing the repair of interior seats and also making the seat cover of different colors as per your requirements. Just search and i hope you will find soon.
