Just thought id share some photos of my dash swap removed mk2 phase 2 round dash and installed phase 1 dash. Took a couple days and alot of pateince but its in now an all plugs dials and lights are fully working. Dash is very secure Still need to swap door cards seats and the carpet and a few little bits and bobs but the dash is all done.

Benefits in doing this are The mk2 dash is lighter theres more leg room the mk2 seats are more comfy and better looking, the steering wheels smaller and black carpet, old school gearstick ! I love this interior much nicer than phase 2 in my opinion.

Nice, are you putting in the mk2 door panel upper pieces.
Also your steering wheel is on the wrong side

I also prefer the mk2 over the mk3.

You only need the door panels to complete it all.

mk2 is my preference as well.

functionally, i like the mk2 cup holders along with the whole dash lay out better than the mk3s'.
