I want to install these SRD Aftermarket skirts on my 91 Ice Blue project.

My thoughts are to adjust them as tight as possible, self tapping screws on the bottoms & inner fenders, and glue the tops to the body panels.

Then body fill seams, paint, and clear coat. I'm again entering un-explored waters. Advise & tips would be greatly appreciated.

To follow up...........All of my 3M adhesive has expired and the catalyst is rock hard. Kind of a blessing in disguise. The Lord Fusor 108 is a much better choice for this application.

The stuff is rock solid and easy to form where needed.

Just for reference, the SRD fiberglass skirts are in no way plug and play. Body work is required. But like the Lord Fusor product, they are extremely solid. About twice as thick, or more, than the OE skirts. Just takes a bit more fiddling. Cheers.

I see that you filled in the joint between the two pieces. That looks better.

Aside from a couple minor hiccups, we should be good to go.

I'm wondering how the fiberglass is going to expand and contract where it is glued to the metal. I know that my stock skirts get kinda wrinkly when it gets 90 degrees outside.

Ken..........

That, my friend, we are going to find out. We both live in extreme climates. So we'll see. I did consult with a couple body shops and the auto paint store before making this plan. They seemed to think the Lord Fusor, combined with the thickness of the fiberglass, should hold just fine. Again, we'll see.

Once on the road, I'll post updates.
