While my interior is out I'm paying attention to the rear speakers behind the seat area. The last owner put in some nice Alpine speakers, they are the smaller 5 1/4" speakers, and I had to fab up some mounting ears which works fine.

Now what would anybody recommend for speaker pods or cones for the rear? The front speakers have a 1/2 moon type factory speaker cone to deflect the sound forward, but the rears have none. The sound waves just go into the square off area behind the speaker. Would putting in some of that Hushmat material work ok, it's expensive at $50 for 2 sheets to put behind the speakers! Any one used any sound absorbing acoustic material-any ideas? Thanks...
