I wanted to put a couple of speakers in the rear seat section of my '92 2-door metro. When I pulled the rear seat panel off I noticed there were no wires coming to the area where the speaker is supposed to be mounted. Since the oem radio has wires for the rear speakers leaving the radio harness I was wondering why the wires did not terminate in the rear speaker area. In my '96 I pulled my rear interior panel off and low and behold there were speaker wires and connectors. any help would be appreciated.

is there even speakers in the 92? i know in my 96 there is speaker, but no goddamn radio anymore, i depend on my iShuffle to get me through the day, but as for yours, if there is no speaker there to begin with then your going to have to drill a hole for a speaker and run your own wire.. not to difficult

My Geo originally came with speakers mounted on the actuall hatch door itself, there were holes for the sides in the plastic pannels but no wiring, you can just run the wiring from the hatch back to the sides or straight from the deck to the sides, it should be fairly easy.

Nope, there was no speakers nor was there mounting brackets (as far as I remember). I ended up cutting holes in the plastic itself and just put a 6X9 in each side and used self-tapping screws to go into the plastic, It held up no problem.
