In my metro i tossed a home dvd player i purchased for 29.99 its a cyberhome from wal-mart with a creative computer suround sound setup for 59 i think, combined with power converter for 16.99. i removed the 3 inch sub and ran the two wires to the hatch where i connected them to my 2 12's one 350 watt rockford and a 400 watt pioneer imp. im not sure the wattage the sub channel runs but it moves both those speakers with ease i'd say it matches is my 400 watt sony amp i had on it before. i dont have a screen at the moment but when i fiberglass my dash i want to try a 13 regular tv in the center of the dash. it doesnt skip a beat and i've hit some massive dips in the road and the ability to spin 4 gigs of mp3's for the price its definatly a good deal. it wasnt a bad idea and it worked just fine.

why not just get an indash screen off of ebay? If you click on the link for my focus under my name, you'll see the one I have. it's a 7in TFT LCD monitor with 2 video inputs and the picture quality is damn good for the money I spent (~$88USD Shipped off of ebay) Its pretty reliable, no dead pixles and have had it in the car for a little over a year with the only problem being, the clock looses time (a few minutes a month), but I think I might have messed it up in the install (Its really rigged up to fit in the dash with my CD player)
