It would be a nice upgrade to the interior for the MK2 I was driving today.

Sorry, my MK1 owner's manual gave me instructions on my factory radio

(http://www.sharebigfile.com/file/50335/ ... l.pdf.html ) for my MK1,

but this little beauty may or may not be a stock unit and has no users manual:

Otherwise, I could just hook up the battery at midnight. Ha!

That radio doesn't have the RCL button.
Maybe I'm missing something.
Did read that thread earlier this afternoon and did try fooling with it.
Guess I'm no electronic whiz. Ha!
Anyone know what the heck kind of radio it is so I can Google it?
Presently in a '89 GTi.
Seems like a nice enough unit, not even sure if the face plate is detachable.

Can I get an Amen?

:D

try holding the mode, band, as/rs, or number 1 or 3 button down for like 5 seconds

Thank you for your suggestions. I just tried that and wasn't quite able to get the clock to adjust.
I tried it on and off, holding different buttons for different lengths of time, but no luck yet.

No worry, eventually will either figure it out or...?

There is a hole to the left of the mode button. Maybe that's it, or for a remote.

Again, thanks.

Might be a defective unit. The TRC/Tune (up) button doesn't seem to be working.

You could try this:

Start the car

Turn the radio OFF

Use the radio tune "arrow keys" to adjust the clock.

One arrow adjusts the hours, and the other the minites.

After adjustment, the clock is set :)

I think that is the problem. The radio arrow key (upper) is not working.
The radio works, just have to play with it to get a station, and I set the clock by connecting the battery terminal at midnight. For now, it's a go. But probably need to take a closer look at the unit.
Thanks for all the heads up...

Just disconnect the battery. Wait until 12:00, and re-connect the battery.
