i got two sony 51/4" 4 way speakers on my front doors and two 5 1/4" speakers on my back doors. two 6x9s in the rear with a 12" kicker and a 12" german compation sub in a ported box running off a sony 1200 watt amp with a 1500 watt compasitor. i have the other kicker but planning to get a three sub box and run the kickers off the sony and and get another 1200 watt amp to push that german sub. so yah its going to rock my geo.

Got any picture of your setup bro? People will definitely be hearing blasting bass from a mile away. :)

if you're running the stock alternator off of your metro you will be only getting about 500 watts into your amp anyways, because of the 55A generator.

You won't need one to run those Sony amps...or your compacitor.

i kinda figured because i was just going to get another compasitor for the other amp and a optima battery so that should keep my alternator from going out.

i heard that the best thing to do when upgrading the alternator is to get it re-wound at a shop and this is usually cheaper than buying a bigger one and making a custom bracket/etc for the new one to fit.

The physical size of our alternators makes it very dificult to get rewound to higher output. You also need to remember that when you wind something for more output you lose a good deal of output at idle.
