Installed a JVC KD-HDW10 receiver yesterday. Very nice. My old receiver was a Pioneer DEH-P6600 for reference. Found out that this is the Walmart version of the KD-HD10. Was on sell for 100.00 down from 175.00. I'm using the line outs for both the Rear and Sub (pre) outputs. FM sounds very clean, reception seems as good as the Pioneer. Haven't use the CD side yet and will have to order the adapter for my MP3 player. There is a specific adapter for using an IPod as well.

jvc and pioneer put a decent bit of effort into their tuners, while for example alpine will have some of the best audio processing but no attention turned on their tuners. what exactly is your question though?

I think it was a mini review.

Has anyone tried the Dual XHD 7720 or the 7714?

Once you get the cars dialed-in (compression, leaks, bearings, alignment, brakes) swap in new rubber and glass, you've got something which should last for years!

if you don't want problems within ten minutes of installation, try to stay away from dual. have had dual's simply stop working on at least 4 occasions before it even left the shop. seem to work fine on best buy's board or whoever else still sells them, but that's my experience. everybody seems to buy the dvd screen for like 250 bucks, you do get what you pay for.

We had them in our board when they first came out...seemed like really low quality. I left the shop before we ever sold any though so I can't comment on how they stop up over time.

I actually heard not too long ago that they're an entry level brand of sony's. can't vouch for it being fact but they share some parts.
