Post subject:  Stereo power cable routing?

Hi,

I have Swift VDI 2008 model. Recently I fixed JBL amp and sub woofer. The power cable from the amp to the battery is routed from the passenger cabin under the dash board, almost behing stearing. For doing this the engineer removed one of the rubber bushes that insulate cabin from engine sound. Now because of this more engine sound is coming inside cabin. I doubt if this guy did it right or not.

Through where are the other wires, say company wired ones, routed from passenger cabin to bonet?

How to connect amp to battery still not letting engine sound creep in passenger cabin?

Thanks in advn

Wires from inside the cabin to the bonnet of the car are ran through gromets (the rubber bush you speak of) in the firewall. Installers will typically use one of these gromets to pass the amplifier wire through. If done properly you shouldn't notice any increase in engine noise in the cabin.

That makes sense. Let me check if the cable can be routed through it then.
