Anyone know of any high ouput alternators made for geos or swift?? 55 amp is barely cutting it.

some of the gm alternators work
they sell the upgrade kit on ebay with the bracket and harness for the samurais, they'll work

The G16B/A alternator also works as a direct bolt on and delivers a bit more amperage...good luck in finding one though.

ac delco cs130 105 amp (47 amps at 1600 rpm, 86 amps at 2500 rpm measuered at the alternator rotor.) with a 2:1 pulley ratio that would be 47 amps at 800 rpm engine speed, 86 amps at 1250 rpm, and full output of 105 amps at 1500 rpms engine speed.

the lower bracket and wiring pig tail are $45 for the cs130 at off road adventures.com

i've used those now on a g10 and a twincam and they work super. their case is just slightly larger than the oem 55 amp alternator. click on the hyperlink in my sig line to see my youtube videos on the alternator swap.

When I built the system in my 1989 GTi I installed a higher output alternator for a Toyota van. Same connectors but had to fabricate some custom alternator brackets. Was a pain to install as tight to get in.
