Loaded up the trailer and motorcycle ... about 750-800 lbs. Myself + gear and other crap....about 250 lbs. Bumped up the tire psi to about 35 or so for all for. Coulda gone up a lil more, maybe I shoulda :?

Aside from being significantly slower, NO PROBLEMS! Handling was fine. I'm used to slow vehicles and conserving momentum so this was no problem. Out of the 12 or so vehicles I've owned in my life, 1/2 can't break 100, the other 1/2 can break 140.

Speaking of breaking 140, I hit 192 in the Mile @ Maxton....and guess who shows up...none other than Jewish Joe from the board! He'll be sending me pics so I can post up (geo and bike). He got there right as they were about to close....he was gonna videotape me doing another pass maybe breaking that (although nitrous bottle was a bit cool) but they closed it a couple minutes early w/out telling me

Oh well, next month.....

And I got about 140 miles per 1/2 tank using the stock fuel gauge. Once from 3/4 down to 1/4 tank, the other mesured from full to 1/2. And that was going 65-75 w/the windows down TOWING 800 LBS!

Funny how a car could be so cool and so whack @ the same time.

Ali

Getting ready to load it on the trailer: He used the engine to get it up the ramp but did not use any nitrous.

Here you can see that the back of the metro is not overloaded at all.

This is for everyone who thought it was a bad idea!

Here is another bike at the event. It would match the metro.

Awesome man :) I had a tow hitch on my old black convertible. I used it to tow 3 dirtbikes with up north on a regular basis! It had a G13B in it tho  Hauled em just fine, and the bigger brakes made it a cinch to stop :)

Flat out on a straight road would eventually get to like 80 mph indicated but I felt bad doing that  I just kept it @ 65-75. I'd like to back it down a lil more for less motor wear and more MPGs but the tracks I go to are usually 5-6 hours away and I'm usually leaving friday from work so I get there late as is. If I go putt putt putting away with low HWY rpms I wouldn't get there for another hour or so, which, on a friday night, after a long hard work week is an eternity and an extra hour of sleep before a race is CRUCIAL.

Ah well, so far so good. Who knows, maybe I'll get around to changing the spark plugs/wires/cap and throw in a new air filter for good measure...or not...
