Why not use the firewall back? that way you would have locking doors, a parking brake, a locking hatch and a fuel tank for a generator or something.

i've been thinking about using the whole rear end of a convertible for my trailer. that way i'll have the use of the trunk lid. :D

Joe thats a pretty good idea but you wouldnt be able to put anything large in the car, just what you could get through the doors or hatch.

My concern would be wouldn't having rear independant suspension cause some wonky trailer sway?

So weld-up a solid axle if it's going to be an issue. However, if you put a good sway bar in the back end, it should be able to handle whatever weight you put in it.

Shouldn't it??

IRS is fine in a trailer. Shouldn't cause any problems.

Chirp.

Lots of trailers use a torsion spring on each wheel.
PS How about a Roof Rack?

How bout cut the doors and roof off of a 2 door, basically weld the front fenders to the rear quarters, and turn it around backwards, fill in the rear wheel wheels and use the hood as your trunk.

Wow run on... Me great at engrish
