I know this video is long over due. So here it is.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/5050 ... ac203a.htm

Remember, this is only a little 600cc honda motor. So just imagine what the car would be like with a turbo hayabusa engine. Any questions, just let me know. Thanks

Sick vid bro.. you guys just need a nice long straightaway where you can really open it up and get it on video..

So did that cop actually show up?

Yes the cop did show up. He said he got calls from 10 different houses about the noise and said we need to leave. He was actually really cool about it and wanted to check out the car before we left. And yes we need to find a longer stretch of road to get the car out of third gear to see what it can really do. I'm thinking the freeway might work. haha.

GeoZukiGTi- 1/4 mile times should be in a couple of weeks.

mike9922- It took me about four months to complete the car.

tbirdscott- If you click on the link on my sig it shows how the whole drivetrain was set up. There is a bunch of high res. pictures there.

turbo2475- Thanks

swiftcirrus- you are correct, a turbo busa engine is the plan as soon as this one lets go.

extremerider- There is actually no more room the play with gear ratios. As of right now, I have smallest front sprocket on the motor and the largest rear sprocket on the diff. that will fit in the area it has. So the only way to overcome that is with more power.

MatLax- We think we were around 70-80 mph at the end of third gear.
And with three more gears left, the car should be good for 140 as it sits.
Has anyone ever gone that fast in a metro? It can't fill very safe. Oh well, I quess that's what the cage is for. haha.

if a turbo busa engine is going in their i dont think you want to keep the cut in half stock springs.

Could you upload the vid to someplace like http://www.megaupload.com/en/ ? Those Flash-based video sites suck on dial-up. :(

evilgeo:

use a larger front sprocket or smaller rear. looks like you have the power to accelerate... but your gearing looks like your making the motor rev without accelerating as quickly as you could. that motor makes 100hp. you shouldnt have a problem using taller gearing. plus, smaller rear will only buy you room

geopat- thanks, the busa motor will go in as soon as this one throws a rod.

Vtek- I'm not sure I understand what your saying. Cut spings? :dunno:

Gasoline Fumes- If you go to the streetfire link right above where the video plays you can click on it to make it play in windows media player. Hope this helps.

extremerider- I actually would have liked to gear the car down more but was limited to sprocket size because of room.

quote]

this is what it says in you link next to the pic of the geo

"The car is so light it does not compress the suspension any noticeable amount, So the springs were cut in half."

Ok, gotcha. The pictures were put on my friends website. I forgot what he wrote in the captions. Yes the springs were cut and travel limiters were put in place to keep the suspension from unloading. I'm not sure how adding a bunch more power would have an effect on this. The hayabusa engine dosen't weigh that much more than the 600.

evil geo,

the operative there is "travel limiters." did you use straps?

a lot of guys use cut springs. i've run several cars like that with great results. we have 2 camps here, the cutters and those who don't and hardly any cross overs (i'm one of those in the middle because i've done it and identified a couple things with the cut springs that bug me. the things that bug me aren't really major issues - but they still bug me! )

your car is wicked. i like a little more interior in mine, personally, but i understand where you're coming from with your machine. it'll be a monster with the 'busa mill in it.

i meant that with all that extra speed i wouldnt know how it would handle with cut springs but personally i dont have experience with cut springs so i dont know
