It seems strange that Fainya hasn't been on the forum for a while.

His dog die?

What's up?

i had been informed that fainya was involved in a car wreck a couple of days ago. he texted me this evening to say that he has broken ribs, a broken wrist, and crushed vertebrae.

he'll be laid up in the hospital, in traction, for at least 6 weeks according to his message.

prayers for his recovery.

As requested:

Quote:
I am still in the hospital. 2 broken ribs right lower side, right elbow dislocated and very painful,
11th vertebrae crushed and I am in traction for another 10 days, possible herniated breathing diaphram,
they can't fix it until I am out of traction. 3 front teeth broken flush to gum line, bruised kidney, low grade fever that is now a blood infection, Low blood pressure, and lots of black and blue marks.
This all happened because I blacked out while driving the Pistol ammo van to the gun show in Tyler,Texas. The reason I blacked out is because I am diabetic (type 2). This was not something I had expected.
Van is totaled. 5,000 pounds of canned ammo came forward when the van stopped. They had to dig me out.
One of the owners has pictures and I will try to get copies to post.
So I now have to take insulin, monitor my blood sugar, opiates for pain killers, and no lifting of any kind for a minimum of 8 weeks. With the right elbow messed up it makes it hard for me to do anything.

Pass this along to the rest of teamswift members please.

Fainya is lucky to be alive.
I hope he recovers fine.
Sounds like it will be a slow road to healing but I am glad he is still around to tell the story .
Best wishes to Fainya .

I twisted the frame so badly the rear doors don't close or line up anymore.

Update on my recovery.
I am finally able to use my right elbow again, but the right arm will never be straight again.
The compression brake on the T-10 vertebrae may never heal right.
But the good news is I am able to rebuild transmissions. It just takes longer.
I have some friends that will R&R them for me. So that helps.
