I haven't had any coffee yet today.

So I need something to wake me up..

Not sure if this is going to do it.. Car chases using mid-70's smog-choked big block V8 sedans with 130 horsepower isn't rally that impressive, but still... Enjoy.. (especially you young folks that weren't born yet in the 70's)

Saw that in theaters in the 70's.

What you need is the best car chase ever

superf1y, Dabney Coleman is hilarious in that movie, but I think the best car chases (or car movies in general) have little talking in them.

Mopar cop cars from the mid 70s to 80s really sucked in car chases, except maybe in comedies (think Dukes of Hazzard, or Smokey and the Bandit). Most of tire smoking was from front tires plowing around corners, rather than from burnouts.

OK. I'm now sufficiently buzzed to go out and get me some real coffee. Thank you.. :buzz:

I was trying to remember what his name was. I always thought Max Headroom was only a computer generated character - on music video shows.

I went looking for Jazzercise and instead I found Eleanor (Parts 1,2,3) and watched it for the first time.

Wow, the early 70's cars depicted in this movie were cool! And the movie-making conditions were even better! Probably 1 car crash per second for almost 45 minutes!

Bias tires, 4 wheel drum brakes, leaded gasoline, no air bags or safety bumpers, 4 barrel carburetors, open chamber exhausts, and pre-dash-cam POV cinematography... it seems everyone in Long Beach was cast as an extra in this movie!

Eleanor (Part 1,2,3)
