I can't seem to find an answer to this question, but in a running GT engine, of the 4 qrts of oil, how much do you guys estimate that flows in a running GT engine?
I'm interested in this because I want to have an estimate of how much oil "stays behind" in the oil pan while the engine is running.

I know on a 1.0 you can have 1 liter of oil in it and it still runs  is that good for it :dunno: most likely not :blackeye:

You could try pulling out the dipstick to examine how far down the oil level drops while the engine is running. My guess is that the circulating portion at idle would be around 1 to 1.5 litres (quarts), based on an oil level reading taken immediately after switching off the engine.
