The seller also likes to stretch the truth a bit...

"they trimmed away different items making them 40% lighter than a regular Metro."

The numbers I've seen indicate the XFi was 1621 pounds versus the non-XFi hatch 1650 pounds, or about 1.75% lighter than a regular Metro. If it was 40% lighter, it would weigh 990 pounds.

Seems like a clean car though, so more power to him.

Are those mpg figures a little exaggerated?
Will you really see over 60 with this car?

i just picked up a 94 XFI. They quoted me $1200 and honored it. Everyone else was starting at $2900. The body on mine is crap and the rust should consume it in a few more years but the motor and trans seem plenty strong.

Once you get the cars dialed-in (compression, leaks, bearings, alignment, brakes) swap in new rubber and glass, you've got something which should last for years!

im pretty sure the 40% lighter thing was referring to parts. like the seats etc are 40% lighter than stock parts thats why it weighs a little less

That is really insane.
It will take the new owner years to make up the difference in gas cost's over a regular old 2000 dollar metro.

Stupid is as stupid does
