omk,

if you look at the label on the ecu you will see "mt-fed" on it. that's the standard american market ecu for a manual transmission federal air care certificate gt.

that's legal everywhere except california where it does not meet carb regulations. those ecus have labels that say "mt-calif." california market mk3 intake manifolds also have plumbing for egr valves and modulators.

Sorry guys super busy at work as it is End of the month and in the finance business this is a busy time of the month!!
