I found a supplier for Cross Drilled Slotted and Vented brake rotors for the T3 and 95+ fireflys. They must be vented rotors stock not the little solid ones. I was offered the price of $22 Cdn a rotor if there is enough interest. I myself aready have a pair ($90 USD on ebay). I got ripped off so I thought others should get a better deal because $90usd is a really bad price. Well Let me know if anyone wants to buy some. Buyer pays shipping, minimum order of 2 rotors or 1 pair.

DAN

Edit: I am putting in an order in 2 weeks, Pm me for payment and your postal code or state for shipping costs. I have to have a minimum of 5 pairs to order.

if it's the regular swift (non-gt) then these will work...
they should also fit the convertibles and '95+ cars ...
if you're interested in ordering a set, i'll go in with you for a pair as well if you're interested in combining shipping.

The little package by the rotors in the picture are ceramic pads I sold to him seperatly. I could look into getting those as well if anyone wants some with rotors.

This is the best deal you are EVER going to get on brake rotors and pads. I paid $90cdn plus shipping for two cross drilled and slotted rotors PLUS the ceramic pads. Comparably priced new monroe rotors and their pads would have been $150cdn AT LEAST when they are on sale. These are even cheaper than buying all economy stuff from crappy tire.

Having said that, you MUST break them in properly. Mine screech every once in a while and they vibrate under extreme (ie. auto-x) situations, since I didn't really bother breaking them in. Their break in consisted of about 1 hr of driving and an auto-x  They have as much power as I would ever want, and brake fade is non-existant. And if you like F/SS class, your lucky since they are the same size. No SP for me!

With the supplier I found the complete Rotor and pads package costs a little more then what I sold them to Hitemp for. The ones I sold him were part of a bulk buy and I and a friend got them at special price. The complete package comes to $100cdn and 2+ packages for $95cdn. A package includes 1 right and 1 left rotor and a set of ceramic pads. Buyer pays shipping.

Are you suggesting that these WILL fit on a non GTi Swift (in my case a GLX) in place of the standard non-vented rotors?

If they will, I'd consider a set, pads included - I'd need them shipped to my freight forwarder in Miami though

they should fit .. there's basically 3 different types of brakes used on all the sprints/swifts/metros .. non-vented (all mk1's, most 3cyls), vented (mk2 turbos, convertibles, '95+ cars), gt/gti vented (swift gti's only) ...
the non-vented & vented complete hubs/brake assemblies can be swapped (just not the gti vented) if you want to upgrade. Just remember you can't upgrade only the rotors, you need to upgrade the whole assembly.

Guess that rules me out - I wasn't planning on changing the hubs/calipers - they're not exactly available down here.

Thanks for the info

upload some pictures of your brakes, I thought all the 1.3 equipped swifts had the vented rotors ..
and spt-3x1.0, we'll have to talk, not sure i'm going to have enough extra $$ to cover a second set of rotors/pads

This pic shows the disk, caliper & pad, there are a couple more in my album - this is as far as I know, standard on all Caribbean market, non GT/GTi, 1.3 Swifts.

Yes, it's pretty puny, which probably explains why I was eager to replace it with something better - it, however, does get the job done.

There is room in the caliper mount for a rotor maybe 50% thicker than that solid one, but I have no idea how close is "too close" when it comes to the room required for rotor runout or expansion - perhaps one of you guys who has them could post some dimensions - diameter of the rotor, thickness of the rotor and offset of the rotor from the face.

yup that won't work with the vented rotors and calipers
if your stock brakes look like this, SprintDans rotors/pads should work

I would be interested in getting 2 sets for the front disc's, but would also be interested in a coiuple of sets for the rear. Would it be possible to pick these up in Bellingham in a couple of weeks at the meet?

I only found Hi-pro stuff for the fronts, and I am pretty sure you are talking to N1tro about the meet right?

whoa, didn't mean to flood Dan's thread here.
Dan is in St.Cath Ontario, so I don't think he'll be at the meet to hand deliver orders

I'm interested in doing the conversion to T3 brakes so I'm 100% interested in getting these parts to do so.
