VERY IMPORTANT

READ THIS PLEASE: THE ROTOR BOX WITH THE "R" AFTER THE PART NUMBER IS THE RIGHTSIDE ROTOR. THE ROTOR WITH THE "L" AFTER THE PART NUMBUER IS THE LEFTSIDE ROTOR.

See, it would have been nice if dan would have mentioned the whole left right thing. Unfortunatley when it came to me buying rotors and pads beforethe GB, I never really thought of that until one day I was looking at my rotors and realized they were on backwards  Not that I would probably notice a difference in braking, but I imagine that the slots would probably clean the pads alot better in the direction they were intended to face.

Sorry about that hitemp, I just recieved a paper about it myself. The way you had it set up make for some very aggressive pad wear and shakey braking. The rotor slots at the top of the rotor should be facing towards the back. Imagine if it was grass whipper and you are looking at the whips when it is spinning you see how they are angled away from the direction of rotation. I have no clue if that makes any sense to you, but I hope it helps.

Ah, I'm just buggin dan. Yes, the brakes do vibrate a bit, but pad wear seems ok. I was unsure if I could rotate them around without doing any damage/warping them, and they still work excellent, so I decided to leave them alone.

July 1996? = 125 soaking wet ( and dressed)
Nov 2003 = 165 nekkid (with only a tiny bit higher body fat %)

Hopefully the rotors arrive today (thursday) not like I'm driving the car but I'm still anxious

I'm glad to here you guys like them, just let me know how they work out for you when you install them. I am going to redo my lines soon and get out the pyrometre to see what they can do. If the weather doesn't agree I will wait until spring. If anyone can post some info on any performance inhancment they felt that would be great.

Dan

P.S. 3cyltrbo, I'm a lover not a fighter :D . I'm glad you like your brakes.

IMPORTANT BREAK IN PROCEEDURE

GO EASY ON THE BRAKES FOR 500KM
( THAT MEANS NO RACING AND NO LOCKING THEM UP)

AFTER THAT THEY SHOULD BE PROPERLY HEAT TEMPERED AND SHOULD WEAR NORMALLY

i had my new rotors out of the boxes to have a look. they're SWEET! :D

i like how they milled the slot right off the edges of the rotors. that'll dump the brake dust off the face instead of holding it in the slots.

thanks again dan. i liked the personal message you wrote on the box, too.

Hi Dan, This group buy looks awesome and im in need of some new brakes...

Just a couple questions:

1) This ones just for my peice of mind, Will these rotors ad pads fit on a 97 swift without any modification?
2) is the swap a dificult install, do you need any special tools?(i don't normally do any mechanical work... but i am mechanically inclined)
3) how soon will you make another group buy?(if your doing another)

Thanks,
naDz

I got some bad news for all about any futher brake orders. The people who make these brakes are no longer making them. It seems the selling numbers aren't thee for them. I will keep looking into it and let you know what I find out.

I know :( . I don't want to have to go find a set next time on ebay. If I can get anymore I will buy them out.

my set looks like it's actually pretty decent quality, esp for the price. I can't imagine wearing them out any time soon, but it would be a shame to lose the supplier. who knows when I'll be able to start on another project car.

I would be more then happy to have paid a bit more to have them pre-coated as well. if it's an option, I'd be up for another set ;)
