the fast alternative (even cheaper ?) is to install MSD6 with soft rev limiter which will cut ignition rather than fuel which is safe for ur application.i cant answer ur question because i personaly didnt have turbocharge setup and most of the people here have aftermarket ignition control eg microtech,3D wolf, for turbo setup. sorry i cant help u because i dunt know how and no confidence on turbocharge gt chip.

Thanks for your reply. I don't want to spend over US $1200 on an Aftermarket computer, because I don't intend to use my Gt for serious racing. I'm just an ocassional street racer. I considered about the MSD before, but then I'll have to set it to cut the ignition before the factory ECU kicks in, and cut my fuel, right?(Before 7.5K)

Wilfredo

i can get u with a big fuel increase with standart ignition timing and fuel cut at 8500rpm . and u will get MSD to cut ignition maybe at 8200rpm ? are u using big cams ? how much boost is ur turbo setup ?do u have adjustable fuel pressure regulator ? as this is complicated u need carefull try out and precise monitoring.

there is no such think as the best..everyone will try to give the best chip..its the user who buy the program how he want his car to do. and the reliabilty of the car, iginition ,cluthc, intake ,exhaust..all must work together to archieve max gain. there is basic rule apply low end sacrify high end and vise versal
soory i spend thousand or dollar to buy all the chip and ecu..i will keep the secret my self their perforamance ..but is norm that i will change my ecu frequenly to do what i want.. my ecu can be change in less than 5min

I think that's perfect. I ONLY need the fuel cut to be moved to 8.5K, keep the fuel map stock.
I'll take care of the extra fuel with a quad injector controller that will supply the extra fuel using RPM's and Boost as a reference or with an SAFC and bigger injectors.( I'm still analizing pros and cons of each alternative).

I'm still using stock cams, and for now I'm at 12 PSI stock injectors, Ford Mustang fuel pump and variable fuel pressure regulator. My A/F shows I'm in the safety zone but I'll be installing an EGT monitor so I could be 100% sure that I'm below the "piston melting" temp.

Whiteshado,

I sold the powerchip to a friend but he now needs something more agressive for drag racing and posible road racing. The mods he has are header, intake and exhaust. We will be installing some 9mm cams soon.

How much HP can the most agressive chip you have will give? This will be a street and racing car.

My email is bdgracia@yahoo.com

Bolivar

i would like a chip....but the best octane i can get is usually 91....sometimes 93. i'd like a chip that removed the rev limiter and moved the fuel cut to 8500 like your chip has. Also i was planning on running a 40 shot of nitrous, so maybe a chip that added fuel in the higher rpm would be nice.

Tell me what you think, i will have intake, exhaust w/o cats, pully, header. I would like to build a nice car that will be fast without the nitrous....but also have the option of using it when i need it. what kind of chip can you set me up with?
racerfoo[image]www.upload.can.com/swiftsig.jpg[/image]

hey whiteshado, what's w/ the photo in your gallery that has the solder on the bottom of the ecu highlighted showing the two pins joined by a bit of solder ? are they supposed to be joined, or was that an example of a bad job ?
and which program are you using on your mk3 chip ? is it one you've programmed yourself, or one of the suzukisport rally programs, minimum octane required ? etc...

are you able to make a chip that would be suitable for turbo applications. ie no timing advance, higher redline, little more fuel?
I'm looking for strictly a low boost setup 8-9psi max

I got a question about these Mod chips. Does the chip operate differently under different setups. ie behave different from stock to modified equipment. If I have uprated electrics and breathing system will it matter. I heard somewhere that a mod chip is most effective if installed an configured when other upgrades have been done. If these are pre programmed, are they based on the stock setup.

I feel a bit thick because I don't know much about that side of engines.

Cheers for any feedback.

Can anyone provide feedback on these chips yet? Is it really better than Tom's one? Can this one still support switching between programs?
