read through the forums, you're starting in the wrong section mate. oh & most of us do seem to be in canada or the US, so i'm sure there are some folx relatively local to you.
start in general performance, work over to suspension, hit the general section & get up to date 'n' then check for some deals in the buy sell .. after all that if your brain doesn't explode you can check for specific fixes in the ....
ya .. have fun 'n' welcome to the board

back to this thread, any work on the kit ?

Sorry, it is not fast enough. When you are getting a factory to tool up and produce a new product. It takes a little time. So it will happen. It will fit right. It will not be some other cars intake pipe you cut and make fit. If you are in a hurry. Buy a civic short ram and cut it down to fit. It will be quick and work. The company that is building this may keep producing this for them to have in their lineup. I just need to buy 100 of them to start them off. When it is ready and I know it works right. I will let everyone know. I am working with them as much as I can. To get it done. Sorry if I am a bit short. I work with vendors all the time. When I had my own line of wheels made. It was a year and half to design and took three month to import from Gwam. I am not just some kid. Talking out my A##. Here in the US I am the largest wholesale dealer of Ultra wheels, Arelli,Laced alloy, Illan, Focal, and Sport metal. I have been doing work with vendors and the automotive market for over 18 years. If people want it right I will get it done as soon as it is ready. It is not like I have even taken any of anybodies money yet. I do need to give Eric special thanks. He sent a pipe to me. So I could send it off. He will get the first system. Well got to run.

Air Dynamics, (James) Said they have the pipe made. They also say they do not have a way to send a picture. They also are saying for a 100 part order. $29.00 each USD. No big deal. I only have 28 people that say they want one. That leaves 75 intakes made for Swift GT only. Seeing how I do not see them fitting anything else. Now I still need to make sure it fits. They are willing to send me the prototype at $90.00 USD. Also I pay the shipping. Just to see if it works. I am going to still work on it. But, I am feeling a little ripped off. I sent them a pipe and got a part from Eric. Oh; By the way. Eric I will get you a pipe. I am going to work with a local place. That way, I can get my hands on the guy. If I can get the pipe done at a deal. I will e-mail the 28 people with the details. When I get all the details.

That is where i ordered my cold air intake from air dynamic racing.it fits a little funny(the extention that goes into the fenderwell),but i have successfully make a short ram intake ,but so i am going to do a new extention here when i can afford it and have another "true cold air intake" in the fenderwell.

Did they know you were putting it on a Swift? Also do you have a pic of the one they sent you? If it was for the Swift. If not for the Swift. What was the one you got? I am just wondering. They jerked me around for a while. If they did that. Then after all the work I did with them to make it. That blows!

Yes i told them it was for a swift gt.i used a cold air intake from a mitsu. eclispe 1995+ and "followed" the factory intake curves, chopped, and fit,but i do not like how the extention turned out.i am going to redo it when i can get some more allowance(thats what my wife calls it),but i dont have pics yet.i will try to soon.
Dan

I think i am going to start working on the intake soon.i am going to have to order another vehicle cai something along the line of a tight "s" to a "z" shape to fit into the fenderwell( another custom job). The one i did before(the extention) is now hacked up,but i still have the "short ram".one thing i noticed i forgot to tell you was the air filter has to be narrower than average because it is too fat to fit behind the splashguard.one thing i noticed the intakes alot of people are doing are like a slight "u" shape and what i did is like a "j"( it follows the curves of the stock one )i am sure it makes no difference though,it would of been easier to do the "u".btw, how is the prototype working out?if you need another stock piece, let me know.

Edited by: allmtrswift at: 7/25/03 2:43 am
