no new ideas, but as a coincidence, another fellow who owns a t-shirt logo business (in the local DSM forum I'm on), started talking about doing a t-shirt for the club. I mentioned that we were just looking into this, and he'll get back to me on a price. Not completely sure if hte graphics on the back will be worth the increase, but I'll try and see what comes of it.

This is sad actually, I feel like I'm stealing Craigs idea....

any other ideas or mock-ups? I'll try and do some changes to the ones we have there this week-end.

Looks good. The way it is linked, it probably won't show up for a lot of people... Going here seemed to work for me... let me know if there are more problems...

www.angelfire.com/apes/ssgti/t_shirt.GIF

Kyle Jones
Your friendly TeamSwift Op.
Junk-Yard Turbo set-up, formerly NOS-fed 1989 Suzuki Swift GTi

that looks good. maybe have the engine diagram off the back and the diagram of the 'cutout' swift on the back with a small Suzuki under that or something. the front would look good with a url on it...
now that i have photoshop i can edit adn post some of my ideas...
-Daley-
1989 Swift GTi
slightly moddedMy Site!Pictures page

How about having the engine smaller and putting it on the upper left hand side in the front right arond the heart level? This would looke great IMHO. If there is enough interest to purchase a bunch of extra shirts I have no objection to putting them up on the webstore for sale.

Adam

Ihave an idea how about putting a small red suzuki logo over the left breast. The url on the edge of each sleave. and one of those cartoon swifts on the back.

Can we still get these shirts? I missed this thread and now that its on top I'm interested. Are they available through someone or the webstore?

i can get fitted t-shirts printed up if we order 15+ through my cafepress account for about $11US each.
hoodies are about $17 for 15+
golf shirts 15+ are just over $11 as well .. then it can be worn to work ;)
but of course we need some artwork we can legally use.

I'd be in for a couple. Whatever you decide to order or if you have bites by other people. Not really picky which designs. Hoody would be cool, tshirts, golf shirt, whatever. If you need me to buy a couple extra to fill it let me know.

Cheers,
Rick

I do like the T shirt idea, but we first need to get logo design done. The Suzuki tm name and the stylized "S" are trademarked graphics, and we may be answerable to trademark violations especially when wearing a shirt with the URL to this website. It may not ever be a problem, but there's no point tempting fate. As far as other design criteria goes, I think simpler is better. Cluttering the shirt with non-relavent data confuses people to the communication goal of the shirt. An entirely successful design may only have text with the URL on it (not Arial or Helvetica please!). A good example of effective design can be seen in the logo for RedlineGTi. It's effective at creating an identity for their website. It maintains that identity by being consistant in appearance.
I think all interested artists on this board (Photoshop or otherwise) should make submissions that we can vote on. I'll be submitting some designs myself soon.

well i'm all for using the logo i made on the front & that 'this car is equiped with a turbo, please remove any restrictive clothing sticker' for the rear ;) .. or something else fitting, like "i like boobies"
fred/rallysuzuki had some great rally/warning stickers that would be awesome for the rear as well, "caution, if you can reed this sticker...this car is prone to drifting .. etc.." i wish i could find the one he gave me ..

i dunno, i think something more geared towards owning a low displacement car thats quick would be more suited...

the turbo thing, its good on like a dsm shirt or something...considering there are like 10 people on the board (out of approx. 1300) who have them (obviously a bit of a stretch there...)

anyways...i dunno...thats my take on it...

Kris,
I'll take one of those shirts so when I get the car turbo'd it will be humerous. I do however want a suzuki enthusiast style shirt that is like mentioned to the point and serious and that communicates a message clearly. We are proud of our little tin cans and people should know. If they wanna laugh they can try and back it up with their dime a dozen civics while they hang out with the "Honda Boyz". Maybe afterwards they can go shoot some shit (but they actually have to buy a gun first), or do whatever it is thugz do. Then how about they go stick some more stickers on their car to try and go faster. I've heard if the stickers flap in just the right way that they act as wings! On an off topic (How could it get anymore off you ask?) I saw a guy today who had so many stickers on his car that I counted 4 tire brand names alone. What is that? Does he run four different types of tires? O well I'll put this useless rambling to rest and end this pointless blabber. Sorry guys.

Those are great. I'd take any one of those in Dark Blue or Black. White is not my color- I'd wreck it in the shop in a day.
