a six speed tranny (if a little stronger) & the turbo manifold+ downpipe (one lap swift =)
it all depends on if it's cheaper to buy or self fabricate (time being worth money, although according to my employers, mines not worth much) .. good to see you back on the board i hope things are going better now, i wouldn't mind meeting you sometime =)

the maf adapter+filter (nissan sentra, etc) is way too cheap on ebay, however the need to buy a seperate intake pipe, hack it down & buy the silicone hoses, adapters, & hose clamps all adds up. esp. w/ people charging outrageous shipping fees on their inexpensive parts .. (rantrantrant) ..

ps. i have a rally chip i purchased from the states that you may want to look at (see if it's the same program as yours) for a mk3

Edited by: n1tr0 at: 5/19/03 8:31:17 am

Ditto with N1tr0 on the six-speed as long as we're talking bolt on no welding up bolt holes and re-drilling etc. and it's stout. I'd be interested in the header and the short ram too.

i would defenitely be in for the turbo stuff since at this time I'm actually trying to find these products..........I'm sure lots of people on this board would be interrested too for their projects seeing as how for most people the manifold and downpipe is the hardest thing when trying to make a junkyard setup!
keep us posted!

Pacho

MSRP of the turbonetics manifolds for T3 on Suzuki Swifts are $550USD. Pretty much the same as all the other 4 cyl. manifolds from turbonetics. Building your own would be cheaper of course, but having the manifold built does save time.. plus the turbonetics equipment is of course built very well.

I know most people on here don't want to spend the money on much of anything, however, I can get those manifolds and various products where I work. If there were a few people seriously interested, even based on the above price.. I would see what I can do about the cost.

Also, if there was a group interested in on Konis, I could grab prices on those.
Kyle Jones
Junk-Yard Turbo set-up, formerly NOS-fed, constantly evolving 1989 Suzuki Swift

Good to see you working on the big turbo project Tom. One quick comment... smaller piping for each runner would likely give better performance as those pipes look pretty big.

I wouldn't worry about it at this stage, but I'm definetely interested in seeing the end result.
Kyle Jones
Junk-Yard Turbo set-up, formerly NOS-fed, constantly evolving 1989 Suzuki Swift

Will it take a T3/T4 turbo? Also will it stay far enough away to run A/C? Will there be enough space from the block to run a turbo facing the oppsite way? Pipe size looks great! Well for big setups. Street or smaller mod motor. I think a smaller runner may be better. At this point. What kind of money might they be. Just a guess.
Looks great! Keep up the good work Tom.

i'm interested in most of that stuff, esp. if you want to try to organize a group buy.

i'm looking into the turbo setup now, but i'm not sure whether i'm doing it or not (it has to be cheap enough for me to afford it, but i really want to do it. it doesn't have to be showroom beautiful, just performance-based and reliable)

I think Toms out of the Swift game...

Honestly, if you had a group buy interested in turbo manifolds, I would reccomend some of Mr Jardamuths manifolds. He's ticketed welder, mechanic, engineer tech.... and no, he's not 100 years old. :) Seriously though, if you guys were up to that, I would even be interested. :D

not to rain on your parade. but a ticketed welder isn't anything special. he does do nice work though.

mech eng tech
