I have a deal in the works with rob at superdials.com on getting us some replacement dash packages built to our preferences for canada. As far as I can tell we may be able to dictate color, logos, etc. I need 2 others at least and myself for rob to go ahead and build these. Is anyone interested and if so please email me at r_weins@shaw.ca.

The price looks like it will be around $100 canadian to your door from the uk.
Rick

-- changed title -- n1tr0 -- bump, word has it they now have the mk3 gauges as well.

Edited by: n1tr0 at: 9/11/03 7:34 pm

this price could get them shipped to the us as well. The reason we are working this deal out for canada though is we use km/h. Its anoying when the main redout is in mph I find. If your comfortable with km/h being large and mph being small then go ahead and order one, but I think the same company can make you a us model if you want.
Rick

They would be for the 90 swift style which I think is the same dash for 89-92 but I'm not sure becuase of the n1tro's pics. I can send you guys picks of the european version which only varies because of the mph kph problem. N1tro I dont think this is what you want but I'll send you a pic anyways to confirm. I could talk to them though about it if you can get 2 other guys together on it. They will only tool up for at least 3 kits. To answer some other questions- they will light up entirely like stock since these guys are the only ones still using the laminate process like stock. Most aftermarkets dull the lights, these will not. Also it appears we will get to choose the colors, logos we want, almost anything since they are doing this custom for us. I am most interested in red letter since the interior lighting theme in my car is red and they said that red is a good price margin to stick with. As per the face of the gauge, any ideas. If you guys are still interested keep posting until I get all the details worked out. But these guys seem on the ball and want to get us our order. They emailed me 3 times today alone answering my questions.
I'll keep you guys posted and send out some picks of one they make already.
Rick

I'll see what we can do with regards to colors like that. The only prob for you mk3 guys is we are waiting for them to spec the dash panel since they only have the mk2 one done. I'm going to wait until both are done then order at the same time. This gives people enough time to decide on colors. If we cant all decide on one scheme we're gonna have to pay extra for tool up unless we can find 3 people for every design.
Rick

Hey I'm in, for the MK2..... what's the max rpm and km/h on the guages again? I'd like to see 9000rpm indicated with no redline, or 8500rpm indicated redline which is probably good for most Swifts with limiter removed. Speed should definately go as high as space allows... White with red lettering/increments would be stylin.

Edited by: SSGeeTeeEye at: 7/19/03 3:22 am
