The SMT6 has no problem with timing whatever the stock ECU puts out it will modify. I'm not sure of the processor speed in the SMT6 but it is more then adequate to handle the job.

The SMT6 adds or subtracts timing from the factory signal. So if stock ECU is putting out 10 degrees advance and you add 5 more with the SMT6 you get 15 total. Works the other way also in removing timing.

The trigger signal from the ECU to the igniter is a DC square wave (kinda), the SMT6 intercepts and alters this signal to advance or retard the timing to the values you enter in the timing maps.

do the prices reflect everything you need for an smt-6 ? eg, is it a bare unit, or the equiv. of a development kit ? eg, wires, programming cable ?

Purchase price includes wiring and connector and communication cable to a pc. Also the Windows software and my instructions on install.

You will have to sold on additional wiring to reach sensors in the engine bay.

The SMT6 will have no affect on the stock rev limiter.

I guess you could re-chip if you wanted to. I can kinda change idle speed by altering the timing somewhat. I purposely did not re-chip as a safety item. I think turning 7500 rpm's is enough for me.

Yep I have a suggestion for 999Euro. We sell the Adaptronic ECU in a plug and play version with comes with a 400Kpa MAP sensor an air tem senor and an OEM plug that is the same as the original ECU.

You can use it on N/A engines and turbo engines as well.

The ECU has many engine protections like boost cutout in 2 levels to allow boost spike on extreme boost set-ups and a 2 level RPM limiter.
N/A engines can be tuned wit a combination of MAP en TPS when Throttle Body’s are used and the throttle valves are very close to the inlet valves.

The kit can be upgraded with boost control detonation detection NOS control closed loop serial o2 control and many things more like VVT on 2 cams and we hope to implement traction control soon.
