There has been a mistake with the mounting bolts. The gold ones will not fit in there (wrong thread size). contact me if you can't source them locally.

what is the proper size of bolt needed? if you could post it here for everyone to know that would be great.
I have a few suppliers of metric hardware in this town, but for some other buyers they may not be that fortunate.

THANKS for the update!

Got my 2 braces today. (unfortunately with the incorrect gold colour bolts). I do have one spare pair of new OEM bolts I can use but l will likely need to find another pair of bolts for the second brace, as the current bolts on my cars will likely be corroded.

In the rare cases where factory bolts are in good shape, like on my Cultus vert, using anti-seize compound will keep them that way. I wonder if Jess might be able to send 2 bolts in a regular mail envelope.

PROPER BOLT SIZE IS AS FOLLOWS:
DIAMETER 10 MM x LENGTH 40 MM 1.25 THREAD NF HEX CAP 8.8 GRADE
make sure to get split(lock)washers and flat washers as well.these bolts are longer than stock, but you need the different length to make up for going thru the brace.plus a few extra threads here wont hurt.

INSTALL WAS EASY! had to use a come-along to pull my frame horns back in(out by half an inch) and one rear hole I had to use a punch to line it up......oh well(car was hit on the front at one time)

Brace clears everything, car handles better esp on the hiway.

GREAT HANDIWORK,JARD!!!!! 8) THANKS AGAIN !!!!

installed the brace on my vert today, fully expecting more problems to line up the bolt holes(car is rusty underneath) but to my surprise all the holes lined up perfectly!!!!! 8) this install was VERY easy

Its nice to see good quality craftsmanship,a sign that someone actually takes pride in their work.

THANKS AGAIN,JARD!!!!!

This brace is an awesome upgrade. Put it on the convertible, could tell the difference as soon as I opened the door and dropped my fat self into the seat. Recommend this strongly to anyone, especially convertible owners.

I swapped catalytic converters with my dad's '93 XFi this weekend. His XFi had a '95 cat installed & I had a '96 or '98 Magnaflow on my '95. The '96+ cats hang down a little lower to get access to the post-cat O2 sensor. Upon installation, I had an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold. I replaced the doughnut gasket & no more leak. I didn't have a leak before, but for whatever reason, the '95 cat didn't like the gasket. Once I installed the '95 cat, the Turbine Tech frame brace fit just fine. It slipped right over the control arm studs & aligned perfectly with the rear holes. The cat still rests on the frame brace, but doesn't seem to affect anything. At first the shifter linkage was hitting the cat in 3rd & 5th gear, but after a little adjusting, there's no more interference. I gotta say, the car does feel more secure & sturdy. I feel like I can take corners faster and this should definitely make any Metro last much longer in the rust belt.

Yes, we received your payment. We were missing a MK2 brace for your order but everything will ship next week as soon as they come out of the fab shop. We have been waiting after the payment for a loooong time :)

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Do not forget to have the car aligned after install, especially if you had to use a come along to put the brace. It will make a world of difference.

Cheers!
