Am gathering some interest for the harness bar. Basically this is a bar that is installed between the 2 points of your seat belt and gives proper fitting if you are running 4 or 5 point harness. You can mount a camera as well.

a couple of us are gonna be murr's guinea pigs this summer...

when it's all said and done everything fits and we don't somehow wreck our cars with his bars i'm sure he'll have somethng for the rest of you to waste your money on.

any time liam makes anything it takes 3 times longer then he says...

it's not his fault, he's just busy, and he's a perfectionist...

by summer time i'm sure he'll have something ready.

well maybe he could make one that comes right over top the back seats when they're up.. :D
i'd be interested if you could make one for the mk1 bodies.. not that much different i don't think. and now that i have good tires i'm looking for any way to reduce weight transfer..

and for those who'll just say take out the backseats and you'll reduce two people weight-transferring-around.. i "power-commute" with my car so i need backseats for passengers

You mean cargo right? I've had people sitting on sheet metal in the back of my car before. When they want out, I just pop the hatch.

there should be pics in the next few weeks.

the bars' will be made to fit the Mk2 & Mk3 North american Swift GT. belt should be the "approximate" locations for an average 5'10 ish person sitting in stock seats. you will able to recline somewhat. There will also be be 4 U's on the bar to hold harness. and a small tab in the center of the bar. to facilitate a camera mount.

For off road use only and stock seat belts will still be functional.

won't interfer with stock interior , back seats don't need to be taken out. but getting in will be a pain.
