rears won't fit

lines are different. mounting is in different spots. / length

the only questions they ask if its rear disc or drum... turbo fly's don't use the same lines as the swift either

According to the general discription from the company they should come with all the mounting brackets in the stock locations. I have emailed them and am waiting to hear back from them. As for a pic its a generic pic of some lines nothing Swift specific, but I have included it below. If I dont hear back from Black Diamond by Monday I will email them again.

Thanks for the interest.

Yah I have some good news actualy. I have confirmed a new lower price of $145 Canadian plus the shipping charges I mentioned earlier. The company did'nt answer my question on the mounting brackets yet, and I have emailed them again about it. I will keep you all posted.

Ok I got this back today.

Hello,
These brakeline kits are made specifically for the Swift and they are
direct replacements for the originals. If there are brackets on the
originals then they should also come on these.

Thanks

Keith

I had a relevant experience when swapping the front struts between my '89 and '91 GTs. There is a fitting welded onto the front struts where the brake hose is supposed to clip in. The fittings were in different locations on the '89 and the '91 (the fitting was located higher on the strut in the '91) so I had to swap the front brake hoses as well otherwise the fittings on the hoses wouldn't line up with the fittings/brackets on the struts. I tried but I couldn't clip the hoses to the struts, they would not reach until I swapped the brake hoses and flushed the brake system :furious:

Therefore I would be worried that the brackets on the SS brake lines might not match up with the ones on the struts for some cars.

Since I don't want to crawl under my car in the middle of the night, will these brake lines fit MK3 Swifts?

Yup they will fit your MKIII GTi, or any other swift/metro/firefly/sprint with the gt/gti rear brakes.

What about a 4 doors hatchback (formerly 3 cyl. firefly) with full GT swap ? If so, count me in!

What about the fittings color? Any choice there?

Yeah I did.

But I'm concerned 'cause the car's length isn't the same... I had (and still have!) problems with the hand brake cables.
