I was speaking to my old supplier of my racing springs to see if they had any interest in making more springs for a group buy. I have attached pics of them. I have been using them for years and they work great. Lowers the car so that you have about an 1" gap between the tire and fender. Approx cost right now is in the $200.00 CAD range for a set of 4 (2 rear, 2 Front). Please let me know if anyone has any interest in these springs.

June 11/04 - spoke with supplier. Springs may be ready by end of next week which means I will start shipping the week of June 21. Those that have paid a deposit, will be contacted for final payment over the weekend.

I'm interested also. How is the spring rate compared to stock? Can I run 195-45-15's with these springs?

I will try and answer everyone's questions up to this point.

Stock Springs: Front 200lbs Rear 436lbs - these rates came from a 92 Swift GT Stock Springs Brand New

Racing Springs: Front 450lbs Rear 600lbs

The springs are not for racing only but are better suit for racing. I did have them on my street car for a while. They worked just fine. No issues with bottoming out. Of course you will feel the bumps on the road more but your handling will greatly improve.

As for fitting with 15" wheels, I have never tried this. I will assume that you will have clearance because you are running a lower profile tire than the 55 I am using. I have even run the car with 70 and 60 without any issues of tire rubbing.

I will ship anywhere.

I see no problem why you could not use them for your daily driver.

Again I see no issues with 15" wheels. Ryan (FiveZiegen) has a set of these springs and I have heard no complaints from him.

Let me know if there are any other questions regarding the springs.

I should be hearing back from my supplier next week about pricing and how many sets have to be bought to keep that price. I will post info once I know.

Thanks

I hate to ask cause I"m scared you will say it's not going to fit, but do you know if these will fit a 96 metro? I'm assuming they will, but dose anyone know for sure?

Chris, I have not tried them but I would say its safe to say they will. I don't believe that the suspension was changed on new models of the swift or metro since 92, the last major update of the car. The changes they made in 95/96 were body styling. Again, I am not 100% sure so if anyone else can verify this, it would be appreciated.

Awesome, well if they fit then I'm in like flyn! Will the price go down if the order is large enuff? Not that I'm complaining, it seems pretty fair to me anyways.

The price I gave is the low end. My problem is getting enough interest to meet the minimum order requirements and keep the price in the $200 to $250 range. That is one thing I am working on with my supplier.

The springs will not fall out when jacking up the car. Cannot confirm pricing or availability yet. Should have answer next week. In the range of $200 - $250 CAD.

As of today, I have 10 people interested in these springs. Samples are going to my supplier on Wednesday. They will then confirm pricing based on what quantity I give them.

So if anyone else wants in on this group buy, please show you interest in replying to this thread so I may add you to the list.

I will post another update with final pricing and expected delivery time.
