how much does this drop the ride height on front/back? sorry for so many questions, thanks.

Not sure if they will work on a 97 metro.

Tire size is 205/55/R14.

The do rub on the inside but by the time you turn the wheel that much, you have other problems to deal with. Drop in front is almost 2" and rear is 1.5".

Hey guys, I am selling the rest of my springs. Different rates. These were spares that I used on the race car so they are used but in excellent shape. I am selling them as the race car was involved in an accident and I am not going to repair the car. Instead, I will sell my performance parts. For now, the spings will going first. Each pair will be $75 plus shipping front or rear. Spring rates range from 250 - 450 in the front and 450-700 in the rear.

These springs are the same as the group buy but with different rates pending the track surface. They are just a good for the road.

Thanks

Sent the moneys, good price.

Advertised me as a 1" drop, with better handling for my mk5.

I left it up to his wise hands to pick the right springs for the job.

:D

Yes Yes I r...

But such is life, I read about what the springs you had would do, I was looking for something stiffer. I disliked the roll I got in my car, I was mulling them over, and I wanted a stiffer ride.

your call I guess, but I mean how are you actually going to put your suspension to test in saskatchewan? besides if you race at QMCA.

Have your discussion elsewhere.
This is/was a group buy thread.

Well they sure did stiffen things up, but the suspension is a whole lot more responsive. Also the car doesn't have the same bad habit of leaning over in a high cross wind making the car wander. Except for having the front strut come loose from the passenger side mount, sending me one hell of a ride, the spring stayed in place and thus the tire didn't try to tuck under the car and murder me.

The only thing to remember is that the front springs are short so when it is up in the air they will not contact with the mount. I have the springs locked to the mounting area on the struts.

Oh and never ever EVER go near a place called Certified Frame and Alignment, I'm still cleaning it up their botched work. These guys are known to SGI and the BBB as doing crap work. Oh and Western Alignment told me to fly a kite because they don't want to do the work unless they supply the parts, or it just isn't worth it to them.

In summary,

These springs are excellent, the car looks alot better now, and rides at just the perfect height. Make sure your cd player has anti-skip if you live in potholeville, or your tunes will be skipping. The springs are heavier guage than stock, so you might have to bend out the lips on the mounting spots to make them fit properly.

Excellent upgrade. LT is also excellent to deal with. :)
