Ok, I have a spare head that I am starting to play with(porting). I just would rather only have to buy one head gasket than two if I can avoid it(assuming that I can't live with the profile).
Thanks a lot,
Stu.

You can change the cam without pulling the head off, on basically all of these cars.

Not if it's in a Sidekick.

Hi suprf1y, I am building a 1.3 16v SOHC with over 12:1 compression 4 bike throttle bodies, race ecu, fully ported and polished head and a bottom end that should push past to 9500rpm. I wanted two cams, one for hill climb and another for the track. the hill climb needs a little mid range but the track cam should be all about the top end. What do you recommend? Thanks for the help

So i have a 95 metro lsi and i want a cam..obviously... so i was wondering if anything else is needed when you put it in. Do you have to set anything different in the car itself or can you just put it in and go?

I'm assuming it's a 3 cylinder?

Just put it in, and go.
No mods required.

Probably this one

340" lift, 192int/198exh duration
Thats a 8 degree gain on the intake, a 14 degree gain on the exh. and an extra .060"(!!) lift.

Unless you're really revving it, then this one

206 degrees duration at .050" on the intake, with .370" lift
210 degrees duration at ,050" on the exhaust with .370" lift.

Probably the second one.
You must be at the rev limiter at 6500

What would be the wildest cam profile you could churn out for a Suzuki Baleno with a G16B distributorless type ignition?

Drivability is not an issue, want a cam for the track & dragstrip.

From the first post

Quote:
I have developed a new cam for the G13/G16 16V SOHC.

206 degrees duration at .050" on the intake, with .370" lift
210 degrees duration at ,050" on the exhaust with .370" lift.

I can develop something more aggressive, but there's just not enough interest in that application.

I don't paying up a bit more for a custom profile. I am currently running a Crower 272 deg billet (cam kicks in around 2500 and goes all the way upto 7000 rpm, after which the OE intake manifold design kind of ruins revving it any further). I don't have any other specs of the cam as I lost the data sheet. I was looking at ~300 deg duration for race use only. Would that be possible?

Car is running on high compression (11:1), standalone ECU, intake and exhaust mods.

Also, what would be an ideal duration for a turbo setup on the G16B running a Garrett T25/T28 at around 1bar?

I might have another friend who would be interested in the turbo cam.
