My neighbor recently told me the company he works for does zinc plating. He did my dipstick and my cam gears for me, and they look awesome. If you want a mirror finish on it, just polish the part first. He'll do the parts pretty cheap, he just said throw him like $10 for whatever ya want done. PARTS MUST BE STEEL. The machine will eat aluminum. So motor mounts, cam gears, stuff like that.
If you'd like anything plated, send me a PM, and we'll get the ball rolling :) I P.S. just had my shift linkage bolts done too so they don't corrode and freeze up in the bushings. Probably would be good for brake caliper slider bolts too. I'm not sure what kinda temperatures the plating can take. He can do steel headers and exhaust manifolds. Anything that'll fit in a 500gal drum.

You mean I could get the chassis done to stop it from rusting?

I think he'd want more than $10 for that :)

Here's the cam gears the guy did for me. No cleanup was done prior to plating.

That would be awesome. As long as you have a perfect condition frame with no rust or have it prepped in a acid bath before having it plated. There would be zinc everywhere, even inside the unibody and other similar places.

How's it going?

I sent you a PM, but I think the page crashed.

Can you send me info about the zinc plating? Is he a reliable source for out of state people?

Thanks,
Darrell
