How can I test my alternator without taking it off the engine?

I have a multimetre, and I understand that I need to connect it to the positive connection on the Alt and the negative on the block, or something like that. Does any know where on the Alt I would put my positive connection?

Or if anyone has a better suggestion, please leave it. Thank you!
